The History

"I was always obsessed with cheesecake-and I still am! When I was in college at Brandeis University, I force-fed my classmates cheesecake and they voted on whether they liked this week's version better than last week's. After graduation, I became a Steak and Ale manager and soon saw a need for quality, prepackaged desserts. A friend of mine made a bet that my cheesecake was better than any cheesecake in the world, homemade or manufactured. She won, and my business was born!

I officially started Mazelle's Cheesecakes in 1981 with two customers and two flavors. That first year, I worked 80 hours per week waitressing and made cheesecakes through the night for 60 hours a week.Just say cheesecake! Within a year I had to hire people to help me, but I still did all the baking myself. I shared a bread bakery, making my cheesecakes from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. Four years later, I knew I needed specialized equipment, more room and more baking time. The proudest day of my life was December 2, 1985 when I moved into our official Mazelle's Cheesecakes 'World Headquarters.' Another red-letter day was May 31, 1992 when we tripled our operations and added a 4,000-cubic-foot freezer and a computer network to help us better serve our customers. Today, Mazelle's Cheesecakes bakes jillions of mouthwatering cheesecakes to keep our ever growing list of commercial customers in love with our cheesecakes!"

In fact, every 10" cheesecake is precut into 16 slices with separators inserted between each slice and is frozen in a resealable poly bag with a twist tie and enclosed in a sturdy box. Our cheesecakes, when kept frozen and in our packaging, will stay fresh for up to a year without absorbing freezer odors or suffering freezer burn.

A cheesecake that tastes like Mom made it should be supported by personal services such as prompt delivery and knowledgeable sales reps. So Mazelle's Cheesecakes has a strong distribution network for reliable delivery and sales people who provide service beyond the sale with effective training on how to sell, merchandise and serve dessert. We are also eager to provide you with attractive table tents and handy little menu decals to further enhance your sales.

Petit Fours

Mazelle's Cheesecake Petit Fours are innovative and easy to handle. Our new Variety Paks offer a selected assortment of flavors, eliminating the challenging guesswork of which of the eight colorful flavors you should stock. Our 1" x 2" Petit Fours are packaged 108 portions per case. You will receive 27 pieces of 1 flavor per box, 4 flavor boxes per case. Variety Pak #1 contains Strawberries & Cream, Key Lime/ Margarita, Chocolate Marble and Plain Vanilla. Variety Pak #2 features Confetti!!! / Fiesta / Spumoni, Pumpkin, Irish Cream and Raspberry Cassis. Pick your packs of Petit Fours and you'll enhance your sales, simplify your finger food functions and wow your customers!

I was flattered by this idea and excited to design special packaging that would maintain the exceptional quality and integrity of our cheesecakes for mail order gift giving. Each gift cheesecake is frozen and enclosed in an airtight poly bag, sealed from air and kissed with ice, encased in formfitting Styrofoam and shipped in our sturdy and colorful box to arrive chilled, sliced and ready to be enjoyed ... or saved in your freezer until the cheesecake urge arises."
